Local Law 196 of 2017 requires certain workers and supervisors to receive safety training at construction sites that are required to designate a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator or Site Safety Manager. Workers will need a minimum of 30 hours of training and supervisors will need 62 hours of training by December of 2019. 

This course trains participants on the requirements of the OSHA standards and construction work practices. This course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry.  The course provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues and is designed to help recognize safety hazards on the job.  Topics covered include: introduction to OSHA; OSHA Standards & Inspection Procedures; Safety programs & Subpart C; recordkeeping; electrical; scaffolds; fire prevention; welding & cutting; fall protection; concrete & masonry; stairways & ladders; cranes; rigging & materials handling; signs, signals & barricades; excavations; tools hand & power; personnel protective equipment; health hazards, confine space entry; steel erection and powered industrial vehicles.
