COURSE DESCRIPTION: OSHA has developed a new standard for construction workers entering Confined Spaces (29CFR 1926 Subpart-AA). This new standard was passed on May 4, 2015 and became effective on August 3, 2015. All construction workers must be trained to safety work in Confined Spaces. A confined space has limited or restricted means for entry or exit, and it is not designed for continuous employee occupancy. Confined spaces include, but are not limited to underground vaults, tanks, storage bins, manholes, pits, silos, process vessels, and pipelines. Upon completion of the course students will have a basic understanding of confined space hazards and how to work in a confined space environment to maximize safety for you and those around you. Students will receive a certificate of completion.
